this is great to see. After leaving rugby to work in football, it is pleasing to see that finally the RFU are addressing specificity in assessing technical and tactical components. I conducted a 2 year research study that involved 250 EPDG and SOR players aged 12-17. Concluding that rugby specifc tests were far better than standardised fitness tests being employed.
